MH123 Business Class (KUL~SYD) Photos & Review!

This Review is the Malaysia Airlines business class I flew on board from Kuala Lumpur to Sydney, Australia.

This flight leaves Kuala Lumpur at 23: 45 and arrives in Sydney at 10 o’clock the next morning, but with the ability to change my seat to a full flat bed I was able to sleep comfortably!

Please take a look at the seat of this flight and photos and reviews of breakfast!

comfortable seat on the A 330

Malaysia Airlines has A 330 aircraft running between Kuala Lumpur and Sydney. This is the same flight I took between Tokyo and Kuala Lumpur.

This business class seat has 1 -2 -1 and 1 -2 -2 alternately and my seat is 5K. I like this seat very much because it has space like first class.

Satay and drink service

Since this flight is a late-night flight, the first in-flight meal is rarely offered. Instead, Satay is provided with a drink service, and in addition, you can select cookies, fruits, ice cream, etc. from the “Dine Anytime” menu.

I ordered a small amount of Satay right before going to bed, but this Satay is still delicious! The flight departs from Kuala Lumpur, the home of Malaysia Airlines, so there are rumors that the food tastes better than on flights departing from other countries.

Is the full flat bed comfortable to sleep in?

After the snack service is over, the cabin turns dark and it’s time to sleep. It takes 8 hours and 15 minutes from Kuala Lumpur to Sydney, but I only slept 3 to 4 hours. Because this time includes meal time.

The width of the bed is almost the same size as the JAL business class where I wrote a review before. If you don’t have a big body, it won’t be difficult to sleep on this seat. But the seat is a bit narrow.

This sheet does not have a mattress, instead you need to cover the entire sheet with a white sheet. This mattress has no cushion, but there is a cushion inside the seat, so my back didn’t hurt. As a result, I was able to sleep well!

Breakfast menu

Two hours before our arrival in Sydney, the cabin gradually brightened and breakfast service began. Immediately, CA came to me and let me choose coffee or Tea. I chose Tea, which is a little bland because it has a lot of milk.

The breakfast menu includes Fruit Smoothie, Seasonal Fruit, Yoghurt, Muesli, Bread, and four main dishes. There are many Malaysian-style dishes on the main menu such as “Nasi Lemak” but I had a special menu that I reserved in advance from “Chef-on-Call”.

The menu I ate called “Oven Baked Lamb Loan with Pumpkin” is delicious with sweet tomato sauce on it! This pumpkin is very soft, but the lamb meat is very hard and I am disappointed.

Be given an Express Pass

On this flight, CA gave me “Express Pass”. This is a pass that allows you to go to a special lane with few lines at the Sydney Immigration Office and is only accepted by business class passengers.

The serial number is written on the back of this ticket, so if I don’t use it and give it to someone else, that person may not be able to use it.

Evaluation

  • Seat:★★★★★★★★★
  • Meal:★★★★★★★
  • Service:★★★★★
  • Price:1,386USD (Round trip)
  • Total score:70 / 100

I am generally satisfied with the seats and in-flight meals on this flight. In general, the late night breakfast is very limited, but in the business class of Malaysia Airlines, you can choose the same main dish as lunch or dinner. This is so wonderful!

The ticket price of Malaysia Airlines is cheaper than other airlines, so please take this business class too!
